Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor best known for playing Bo on the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was produced at Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actor, director, producer, playwright as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna can recall some of the earliest moments of her existence, such as taking part in rehearsals of stage plays. Silk featured in a number of commercials as a child. In 1997, she received a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Early theater work includes at least two productions with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk made the move to Toronto to pursue her acting career in the month of November 1999, and during the decade that followed, she relocated to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she was introduced to during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. In December 2009 they married following a civil ceremony. In April of 2011, they renewed their vows at a Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk got a baby that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th, 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk's work on television is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland for which she won an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk was pregnant while filming of the final season episode and broke the news to fans of the series during a Showcase show's pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. Silk confirmed via Twitter on June 20th that the show would return for a fourth season of the production. Season Four premiered on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures.
