Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the darkest tales. Lolo Jones, the winner of both the USA championships and the World championships in the event of hurdles, was able to achieve her standing with lots of effort and an immense amount of patient. She was the only child of a single mom in a family of five kids, Jones had a difficult and a squatter's childhood. Her mom lived in the road and even within the basement of the local church at one point. This nomadic life led Jones to change schools and attend a new school every year until the time she entered in high school. Jones needed to be separated from mother in Theodore Roosevelt School in order follow her passion for track. Jones stayed in four houses during her highschool period to be able to complete her studies at one location. Jones was a cellist with the school's orchestra, and the winner of the Gatorade Track and Field Iowa award for athlete of the Year was awarded an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete award at the close of high school. Jones was one of the college's top hurdlers when she entered. She was the winner of the 100-meter hurdle during the 2002 NCAA Track & Field Championship. Jones was also part of the second team to win the 100-meter Relay event. Jones has been the NCAA Champion indoor hurdles both in 2003 and 2014. The track career after she completed her studies during 2005 Jones was able to begin training for a track career. She was the winner of each of her events, the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races during the same season.

Brandt relocated to Auckland, New Zealand, from Cape Town South Africa in late adolescence. Brandt was found by local casting agents and was cast in the character of Naevia on the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. Produced by Steven S. D Knight and Sam Raimi she captivated audiences with her performance and became an one of the series' most memorable stars. Mazikeen was a popular comic book character on Vertigo/DC, and she played her on the Netflix popular series Lucifer for six years. Forbes named Lucifer as the top most watched show to binge watch in 2021. Brandt will next be seen with Andrew Lincoln in the limited Walking Dead 6 episode spin-off which will premiere in 2024. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress who was born in Cape town on the 2nd of December, 1981. She is an accomplished New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt and her family relocated to Auckland in New Zealand in 1999. After just a couple of years working in retail and then being promoted to the position of the IT Manager consultant. Lesley began modeling, before deciding to make an appearance in commercials. In 2008, she finished her acting major and continued her training in Meisner ways of learning. Lesley's first major acting gig was with New Zealand's TV show Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt was a guest supporting actress on New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street. Then she appeared on a science-fiction drama arrangement This Is Not My Life in which the story was based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast in the Television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Naevia who was a teenager hostage. She was later depicted her character in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniseries.
